Difference of Body Scrub & Body Polish
Body polish which is for removing dry dead skin cells and body scrub which helps cleanse your body.

What is a basic body polish?
A body polish is a treatment for the skin, sort of like a facial for the body.
How is a body polish done?
A body polish can be done with a wide range of materials. Popular materials include salt, sugar, coffee grounds, rice bran, and pecan hulls. These are typically mixed with massage oil and an aromatic essential oil.
While you can get a body polish all on its own, it is usually offered as the first step in a body wrap (often seaweed or mud). You can also get your body polish treatment along with a massage.
What is a body scrub?
A body scrub is a spa treatment in which the skin is exfoliated, leaving it feeling fresh, smooth, moisturized, and soft. During a body scrub an abrasive product is rubbed into the skin and massaged across the skin and then rinsed away.
What are the benefits of a body scrub?
A body scrub serves as an exfoliant for your skin by sloughing off dead skin cells and rubbing away hard and flaky skin, leaving the skin underneath it feeling soft and smooth.
A body scrub can be extremely invigorating as well. It also can improve the circulation of blood to the skin and help fight cellulite and improve skin tone.
A good body scrub also serves as the foundation for other body treatments. It helps prepare your skin for an even tan, opens the pores before a wrap or mud treatment and the oils that are used relax and stimulate your senses.
Difference of Body scrub & polish :
Body polishes and scrubs, while they may not seem like, are two different treatments. A body scrub will exfoliate the skin as well as cleanse the skin at the same time. A body scrub treatment can be done at home as well. A body polish is designed to removed dead skin cells and moisturize, much like a body scrub, however, a body polish is not designed to clean. You will find body polishes in spas and they are often used as a precursor to other treatments such as a seaweed or mud wrap.
Make your own polish :
You can make your own body polishes using a variety of sea salt and essential oils. When making your own body polishes make sure to use stainless steel utensils and a stainless steel bowl. Choose the scents of essential oils that you want and combine them with about a ½ cup of sea salt. Use only about 5 to 6 drops of the oils. Also add in about 4 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
Make your own scrub :
One of the most common body scrubs is a sugar body scrub. This scrub exfoliates the skin and leaves it feeling silky smooth while cleansing it at the same time. Many of the body scrubs that you can purchase are sugar based body scrubs. If you are feeling ambitious you can make your own sugar body scrub at home.
